I don't see how the nametag couldn't be seen as rude, but Odo's had me giggling like crazy. “If it's any consolation, mine says, 'Former Overseer of Terok Nor'. I think they're just trying to be specific.” It is so easy to picture his deadpan delivery and I've particularly liked Garak's observations of human Odo.
