Thank you! I wanted to make sure to keep it grounded in the show without treading over already covered ground too much, because that would be boring for readers and for me. I always felt that Odo and Julian were a lost opportunity for interaction, as they had far more in common than either of them realized.
As for Dax, I also felt that in many ways the character was wasted. They didn't use her enough, and when they did, it was often in the wrong way. I loved Dax, and I can easily see her interacting with them in this way. I'm so glad you like it. I'm working on the next story now, and it's a departure from my current format in some ways.
