This just blew me away! Garak has never been written so expertly and nurse Decla reminded me so much of Kai Winn that I felt they must somehow be related. Well, I imagine Decla to be very pretty ... Winn ... not so much.
And Julian. I adore your Julian and love how you perceive him. I too think he is half Garak's age and I sometimes wonder if canon Garak thinks of Julian more as a boy than a man. In your version, Julian is a man to Garak, albeit a young one. I love young Julian and all the dynamics that come with his youth in contrast to Garak's age and experience. You capture this so well.
